Google Analytics is known to be the most efficient and popular data analytics software owing to its widespread use worldwide. But you may still ask, what exactly is Google Analytics? What does it do? And why is the Google analytics certification worth it? I have simple and straightforward answers to these questions. So, let’s take one at a time.
So what’s google analytics?
Google Analytics is a database and network analytics service that provides analytical information as well as statistical tools to aid commercial activities for marketing purposes.
Let me simply put it this way, it is a web analytics service that keeps track of website performance and gives website traffic reports. Launched in November 2005 by Google, it has become widely used as a platform within the Google Marketing Platform brand.
This Google analytics software has effectively helped organizations regulate their user traffic and determine how successful their marketing activities. Besides that, it also helps them obtain user information and track goal completions. In addition, it has helped to greatly improve the performance of both small and big retail websites in their marketing campaigns and retaining visitors to their sites.
As useful as you now find this web software, you might need more time than you think to familiarize yourself with the platform. In other words, with so many web options and data out there, it can still take you a while to get around using the Google Analytics platform and unlocking its full potential. And so, there are a few options that come to mind:
- You can hire experts who have gotten the Google Analytics Certification
- Try figuring out on your own how the analytics work without a certification
- Get yourself or your team a certified professional.
Now, if you ask me, I’d say the last option is the most plausible, quickest, and cost-cutting option to use the software to its full potentials. The certification provides you with valuable tools to expand your business, retain your web visitors and users, and increase your sites’ traffic.
Simply put, Google Analytics Certification offers the best and biggest benefits of certification.
Is Google Analytics Certification Worth it?
With all that’s being said, you might likely think that all you get is a certificate. I mean the type that just sits pretty hanging on your sitting room wall that boldly says you’re qualified in Google Analytics. You might even have a link to share with people to verify the authenticity of passing the exam. Hey! It might even be added to your CV and also one of your many certifications on your Linkedin.
But, wait a second, is that really all? No. There are a lot more advantages the certification carries. Let me walk you through the top 2 on my list of reasons;
-
Acquire new analytics skills and hone your previous skills
A recent survey from a web result showed that generating traffic and leads is the most challenging situation organizations are currently facing. About 61% of the respondents gave the same answers. Why be a part of this increasing number when you can up your game, get skilled, and get certified?
In fact, there’s a 100% chance you’ll find a lot of useful data analytics knowledge when making preparations for the exam more than when using the program in passing once in a while.
-
Securing more job opportunities
I mentioned earlier that both big and small businesses use Google Analytics software to help improve their marketing and commercial strategies. And so it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle to get employed when you have the certification.
The certification serves as a validation that you have the full knowledge of web analytics. You will be able to woo prospective employers with the knowledge of the depths and heights of Google Analytics.
In addition, it is easy to pass the knowledge on to anyone who is also willing to learn.
The certification process
While introducing the web analytics, I must have made subtle references and explanations as to why this certification is very well worth it. Web analytics is the bedrock of Search Engine Optimization(SEO), e-commerce, social media marketing, and a lot more.
Actually, it is impossible to understand the effectiveness of your web strategies without data. Google Analytics answers your WH questions about what’s working and what’s not working, and why it isn’t working. Finally, you are now able to improve your strategies and increase the success rate of your business. Convinced? Now let’s go through the certification process.
If you’ve earned a certification previously, I’m pretty sure you’ll be aware of certification exams. Well, Google Analytics Certification is no different. You need to pass the GAIQ( Google Analytics Individual Qualification) exam. It is an exam that tests your knowledge of analytics for both beginners and expert users. Below is the list of everything you need to know about the exam:
- Free to take
- 12 months of valid qualification
